A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

On every voyage a ship's Captain would keep a journal, or Captain's Log, a complete record of all the daily events of a voyage, including navigation, weather, the ship's order and discipline and note any observations and comments.  As I embark on this next chapter of my life, writing new stories, taking new adventures, I'd like to stow them away here.  For when I am a little bit older, a little bit more weathered, watching the grand kids grow up, I'd like to reflect fondly on my blessed life with gratitude and a happy heart.
